Spring Break 2022

April 1, 2022 12 hour drive to MA

April 2, 2022 Plymouth
April 2, 2022 More later, but on our first day of spring break we went up to see Erin’s parents in Massachusetts and went to Plymouth. While there we went to an ice cream shop, both kids did not want ice cream, instead they got pickles.
April 3, 2022 Hanging out at Erin’s Parent’s house playing dress up, watching TV and having magic fights.
April 3, 2022 The park near the library
April 4, 2022 Our trip into Boston
April 4, 2022 The Children’s Museum wasn’t open but the kids loved the playground outside the museum the best of everything on the trip.
April 4, 2022 A few of the sights
April 5, 2022 Last day in Massachusetts, one last visit to the horses, a lunch at the Mad Hatter’s and then off to New Jersey
April 6, 2022 First breakfast at Rutherford Pancake House, then to the American Dream Mall and the Nickelodeon Universe Amusement Park – indoors, with lunch at a few places but mostly Jollibee. We then went to Soup Dumpling Plus for dinner.
April 6, 2022 Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream. Elia rides her first roller coaster, a crazy one that spins and goes on the coaster. The Shredder, no upside down but really significant. She rode with Albert and then when he said he was more scared she wanted to go with Erin too, so she went twice. Curie tried again on the Slime Streak, which was not as intense but Elia was more scared of that one and Curie affirmed that she does not like roller coasters. Erin was most scared of the Shredder and Albert most scared of the chain swings. We had a great time. We even met Appa.
April 7, 2022 Posing at American Dream
April 7, 2022 First stop Legoland Discovery Center. They are building one of these near out house. Top row Mosaic class, guess whose are whose. Bottom two Elia and Erin’s wheel thing beat Albert and Curie’s engineered motorcycle in the downhill. In the middle the 4D show and the mosaic out of Duplo we made on the wall.
April 7, 2022 Sea Life, a combo ticket with Legoland. Not a bad aquarium, but we have been to bigger.
April 7, 2022 TILT Museum. All of these are painted on the walls and floor, you stand in a certain place and take the picture to make you immersed in the picture. Here are a few, our album has more than 33 of them.
April 7, 2022 And then we were locked down in the TILT Museum for two hours and the rounded up, lined up, and concentrated to the amusement park for another hour while they went store to store to search. The kids did great, we taught them to be more calm in a crisis and they did just that. The little girl helped pass the time. When we finally left it was a deluge outside, we made it to last call at a hibachi restaurant, then Curie threw up (likely because she hadn’t eaten for so long and had a lot of stomach acid, she was fine later eating a banana), then the hotel next to us had emergency vehicles, then we had a blackout in our room. But we had a pretty good day!
April 8, 2022 We went birding of course
April 8, 2022 This is what we saw
April 8, 2022 Then we did Angry Birds Miniature Golf
April 8, 2022 The highlight for the girls on the trip was ice skating
April 8, 2022 The highlight for Albert was playing War to the wee hours
April 9, 2022 The morning before we leave
April 9, 2022 On the way home we ate at the Little Sheep Hotpot and Paris Baguette that we went to for Steve and Julie’s birthday, only it is not called Happy Lamb Hotpot. Then we went to Olive Garden because we wanted to end on a high note. The one in Laurel was packed so we went to the one in Vienna. There is an awning that stretches over the drive this is a picture from that awning.
