We are now at Dos Amigos looking for sopapillas and ice cream after a nice dinner al fresco.

Kids were going crazy and breaking all the rules. Still, the kids had fun. Curie’s favorite was the high jump and the Elia’s favorite was what she is called the mermaid one which is the Ariel/aerial one, get it?

May 6, 2022 Our new favorite Korean BBQ place is amazing. We almost don;t want to name it so that we can still get a table on a Friday night. Gong Cha after, the girls loved foosball.
May 7, 2022 Yesterday we won at Korean BBQ and the restaurant took a loss with what we ate, today we lost at Brazilian BBQ. If you decide to eat all you can eat meat for dinner, then bigger all you can eat meat for the following lunch is not wise. It is like running a marathon the night before your race, it will take its toll.

May 27, 2022 The pandemic and a broken arm set us back a bit but we are so proud that Elia got her yellow belt with stripe! She kicked a girl in the head during sparring and knocked her down. Elia says it was an accident.
May 28, 2022 Is it okay to cosplay to the Bob’s Burgers movie? It was pretty good but could have been better if it had more of the scope of characters in the show. Still if you like the show, you will likely like the movie. And yes Elia likes Gene more than Louise!

May 29, 2022 Given that we rode the Ferris wheel yesterday too, you would be forgiven if you thought we were vacationing at National Harbor. We didn’t do the carousel, so we went back. We went for the air conditioning as much as anything else.

June 3, 2022 In the car we were trying to decide if going to Huntley Meadows was better in the morning or evening. We decided it was morning, but then we saw more warblers, shore birds, a sunset, and fireflies, so evening it is. Albert got his father’s day gift early, a new pair of binoculars (thank you family) so we started our weekend early followed by Korean BBQ. Oh the girls are really into Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, with Curie really into Vulcans. They intone the intro with Captain Pike and the hand salute on every episode so far (oh and they also like Obi Wan, and Obi Two Kenobi for little Leia, but Obi Three Kenobi was a little scary).
