If we give everyone a voice
An opportunity and a choice
How easily we’ll despair
When we discover that no one cares.
For the bonds we claim and state
Fall away in the great debate
And too easily we all show
And our hate is quickly exposed.
Do you know why are kids afraid of the dark?
It is because of what they can’t see
It is not the color or how bright
It is the absence of the light
Why do people embrace such hate?
It’s because we’re all scared?
And what is it that we all fear?
It’s to lose what we hold dear.
So how do we find our hope?
To have faith in our fellow friend?
No matter what we hear or see…
We must never give in or flee.

When it’s more than we can bear
We will stop and no longer care.
So be strong and prepare to defend
Because hope must win in the end

Open their eyes and let them see
