August 23, 2021 Fifth and second grade. I know a lot of parents are posting about how excited they are to have their kids back at regular school. We are not those parents. I am not going to lie, I really miss them, I liked having them with us the whole time. 527 days of amazing togetherness. And I know this is right, and I know they will be okay. Going to open house did allay some fears for us seeing their preparations. So it is the right thing to do. It doesn’t mean I don’t miss the kids though. Today will be a hard day for us, the parents.
August 23, 2021 First day of school, it is going to be hard not having the kids at home during the school day. Kids loved being back at school, but Elia ran out of steam at EMA and melted down a little.

September 3, 2021 We went to Observatory Park, VA last night which was cool to look through their telescopes. The picture is ours.
September 3, 2021 Observatory Park, VA Pixel 4 astrophotography mode 4 min exposure with astrophotography filter. Seriously, two button presses on the phone and a tripod. It takes 30 second pictures for four minutes and then layers them together taking into account the movement of the Earth and refines the picture. No work necessary. If you zoom in you will see so many stars!

Life will never be easy, but it is certainly easier having you to face it together with. Happy Anniversary, Erin. For this picture: Kung Fu Kitchen was so good we went there for our anniversary today. They even gave us a sweet dish on the house because as the owner said, you should have something sweet on your anniversary.
November 4, 2021 Tonight we watched the Bob’s Burgers “Special Girl Doll” episode where Louise gets a doll. After the episode, the kids rediscovered their Pocahontas and Mulan dolls which we bought because Pocahontas looked like Curie and Mulan looked like Elia when they were littler, actually it’s still kind of holds true.
