So Elia’s first Halloween she was almost one and she was one of the chef’s (Curie was the other) for our catering costume at the Hoagland’s Albert’s work also meant that he had to miss trick-or-treating – not family-friendly, but a necessity at the time; so it was also her trick-or-treating costume. Most people know Curie’s first costume (she was one month old) as one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and underneath she had on the skeleton costume. But what people don’t know is that Albert wanted to dress Curie up as a maggot. His rationale was that everyone would have little lady bugs, and cute animals for their babies, but Curie would be the only maggot.
