To feed my soul, I’d like to start a poetry group,
Something to do before my sanity flies the coop.
I know it takes time,
And it doesn’t have to rhyme,
I’d rather do this than another Rubik’s cube.
The poetry style does not have to be a limerick,
After all, rhyme schemes might just be a gimmick.
Whatever makes it easier,
Whatever rhyme or meter,
Or whatever poet you are trying to mimic.
Participation in this effort is totally voluntary,
There should be no judgment or negative commentary,
We want to include as many people,
We don’t want to make it a steep hill,
And not just for people participating in this committee.
For those who are not poetry-inclined,
Short stories or essays would be just fine.
And so long as it is so labeled,
For those not writing-capable,
Go ahead and write your work using AI.
And so, I send you this entreaty,
With this poem-equivalent of bad graffiti.
It might be humble pie,
But this was not written by AI,
Nor was it written by Taika Waititi.
